We are seeking a proactive and insightful Learning & Development Consultant to enhance our People, Culture & Governance (PC&G) Team. This position offers flexibility in location.

Role Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to bolster national business operations through the strategic design, development, and implementation of learning and training initiatives, ensuring compliance and governance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee a progressive L&D framework across Otraco.
  • Provide expert guidance on training and development aligned with organizational goals.
  • Assess compliance and operational training requirements to fulfill business needs.
  • Foster strong relationships to create effective learning solutions amidst competing priorities.
  • Conduct annual training needs assessments to inform a comprehensive L&D strategy.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design tailored learning solutions.
  • Create and deliver soft skills training programs enterprise-wide.
  • Support the execution of Otraco training initiatives, including communication and tracking of training outcomes.
  • Manage the development planning process linked to performance evaluations.
  • Identify external training resources as necessary.
  • Engage in additional L&D activities as required.
  • Address learning and training needs related to health and safety.
  • Oversee administrative governance of L&D programs.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong emphasis on teamwork while valuing autonomy.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing learning projects and consulting.
  • Background in large operational organizations with diverse workforces.
  • Willingness to engage with on-site operations to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessing is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar capacity.
  • Proficient in managing training records, compliance, and audits.
  • Familiarity with Registered Training Organizations (RTOs) and relevant governance standards.
  • Skilled in utilizing various learning management systems.
  • Solution-oriented mindset adaptable to changing environments.
  • Effective communicator capable of building relationships at all levels.
  • Understanding of Centres of Excellence and their role in achieving outcomes.
