The Bureau of Meteorology's asset management system plays a vital role in the lifecycle management of its diverse and geographically dispersed portfolio of critical infrastructure and equipment.

This position is responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions that enhance asset management processes and system functionality, including customising applications, automations, escalations, and reports to meet evolving business requirements and support operational teams across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, managing product fixes in partnership with vendors, ensuring the system remains robust and aligned with best practices, and providing technical coaching, training, and clear documentation to enable the organisation's adoption of asset management solutions.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with asset owners, subject matter experts, and vendors to ensure that Maximo solutions support strategic asset management goals, participate in system upgrades, testing and integration activities to deliver enhancements that drive efficiency, data integrity, and informed decision-making.

This position has the potential to expand to support a wider range of asset classes, helping the organisation strengthen its asset management culture and capability across all business areas.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience in Maximo development and configuration
