Workshop Planner Job Description

A.I.R Recruitment is seeking a skilled Workshop Planner to join our client's team in a global manufacturing and gas handling solutions company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate workshop operations to ensure efficient use of resources and meet deadlines.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager, Project Manager, and Leading Hand to ensure effective day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and implement plans to allocate time and resources for approximately 50-60 jobs at any given time.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure timely ordering of parts and consumables.
  • Prepare accurate job back reports and job strip-down reports.
  • Communicate progress updates to clients and ensure service reports and relevant documentation are completed.
  • Review invoicing to ensure accurate accounting for parts, consumables, and labor.
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within an engineering, industrial, or workshop environment.
  • High-level planning, time management, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong administrative skills with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and follow through on tasks from inception to completion.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with internal staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to make ethical decisions.
What We Offer:
  • $110k + super.
  • 6-month contract with the possibility of going permanent within the 6-month period.
