Workshop Coordinator

GB Auto, a leading provider of automotive services, products, and technology, is seeking a highly motivated and driven Workshop Coordinator to join their team. As a key member of the operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the continued improvement of safety, quality, delivery, cost control performance, and effective leadership of operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Main point of contact for all workshop jobs
- Book jobs and schedule work appropriate to the labor resourcing available
- Mentor, lead, and direct a team of tradesmen and apprentices
- Ensure accurate completion of daily timesheets, including confirmation of job numbers
- Plan and schedule parts and materials for future jobs, communicating requirements with the Parts Officer and Administration Officer
- Increase efficiency of the workshop by maintaining a focus on quality and continuous improvement
- Provide solutions to any issues that may arise in the work area
- Responsible for opening and closing of the workshop at the beginning and end of the day
- Quote work as required
- Ensure the workshop is kept clean, tidy, and presentable
The ideal candidate will have:
- Trade qualified as a mechanic or auto electrician
- A/C ticket - highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience leading a team
- Excellent organizational, time management, and planning skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels within the organization and externally with customers
- Proactive problem-solving ability
- The ability to work under pressure and deliver results
- A team player, able to interface positively with all team members
