Job Description

Komatsu Forklift Australia is a leading provider of material handling equipment. We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team based in Melbourne.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our branches, ensuring profitability and efficiency. This includes managing the Service and Parts teams, mentoring staff, and implementing strategic plans.

We are looking for an individual with strong operational skills, experience in territory management, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to build strong relationships with clients and teams, and drive business growth through innovative solutions.

This role offers a competitive remuneration package, including a salary range of $110,000 - $120,000 plus car allowance and annual bonus potential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Directly lead, mentor and manage the operations of the business.
  2. Achieve budget, profit and market share expectations.
  3. Grow external service, parts and hire customer database.
  4. Manage Service and Hire contracts.
  5. Monitor daily progress of the team and branch towards successful monthly outcomes.
  6. Communicate Branch objectives and goals to all team members and empower them to take appropriate business actions.
  7. Encourage each team member by recognition and training where required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Highly developed sales and customer service skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate product knowledge including mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and maintain a proactive call plan.
  • Customer centric with well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Suite Applications.
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Strong HSE Understanding.
