The Chief Risk Officer plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our organisation.
About the PositionThis key senior role is responsible for overseeing the ongoing development and implementation of our risk management function, focusing on maturing and leading a contemporary approach to enterprise-wide risk culture and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic direction, leadership, and oversight of an effective risk governance framework, ensuring compliance with all relevant obligations.
- Lead the insurance portfolio, quality systems, assurance, and resilience processes to achieve critical success factors.
- Act as Chief Audit Officer, fulfilling the requirements of the Internal Audit Charter.
To succeed in this position, you must be a strategic and transformational CRO who is viewed as a trusted advisor. You should have substantial experience in leading and directing an enterprise risk and compliance function in a large and complex organisation, preferably in the services sector or state government context.
Bring best practice expertise and a focus on emerging methodologies. Demonstrate agile, flexible, and collaborative leadership skills, fostering a proactive, cohesive, and high-performing team environment that builds trust and credibility with all stakeholders by ensuring risk and reputation are managed effectively.
