Job Overview

The role of a Risk Analyst involves embedding policies and frameworks to support continuous improvement in Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance. Key responsibilities include conducting risk profile reviews, updating the risks and controls register, delivering training sessions, and enhancing control assurance frameworks.

This position requires strong analytical and organisational skills, as well as excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Risk Management Frameworks: Embed policies and frameworks to drive continuous improvement in Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance.
  • Risk Profiling and Controls: Conduct half-yearly and annual reviews of Business Division's risk profile, ensuring the risks and controls register is up-to-date.
  • Training and Development: Deliver risk-related and Protecht system training to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
  • Control Assurance Frameworks: Enhance and implement control assurance frameworks to strengthen risk management practices.
  • Third Party Risk Management: On-board, off-board, and assess third-party risks using Protecht, ensuring compliance with organisational requirements.
  • Audit and Remediation: Manage and close internal or external audit findings, investigating operational risk incidents and implementing remediation actions.
  • Risk Initiatives: Implement key risk initiatives to further embed Risk Management and Compliance frameworks within the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 2-4 years' experience in the financial services sector with general risk management practices and disciplines exposure.
  • Qualifications: Relevant tertiary or professional qualifications in Commerce, Economics, or Risk Management.
  • Skills: Strong data collation and analytical skills, organisational, time management, and decision-making abilities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and critical thinking.
  • Relationship Building: Relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Collaborative Approach: Collaborative and team player approach.
