Job Brief:

A seasoned project leader is required to manage high-profile building refurbishment projects in Newcastle NSW.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects, excellent business acumen, and strong planning and financial reporting skills.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing comprehensive project plans and communicating with team members
  • Ensuring construction programs are followed to deliver quality projects on time
  • Identifying and managing construction risks through all projects, escalating issues when necessary
  • Managing project expenditure and cash flow
  • Leading external engineering design aspects of projects
  • Design management
  • Managing subcontractors on site
  • Maintaining health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) requirements on the project
  • Producing progress reports
  • Delivering client expectations

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in delivering refurbishment, new build, or remedial projects from start to finish
  • Proven leadership ability in building and motivating teams to deliver high-quality projects
  • Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Construction Safety Induction (White Card)
