Project Lead for Building Refurbishment

We are seeking an experienced project lead to oversee the delivery of complex building refurbishment projects.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing Comprehensive Project Plans: Design and communicate project programmes to the team, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Managing Project Delivery: Oversee project delivery from inception to completion, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate construction risks, escalating issues when necessary to ensure project success.
  • Financial Management: Manage project expenditure and cash flow effectively.
  • Site Management: Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on site.
  • HSEQ Compliance: Ensure adherence to HSEQ requirements throughout the project.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Client Expectation Management: Deliver exceptional client service and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in delivering refurbishment/new build or remedial projects from start to finish.
  • Proven leadership ability, with experience in motivating teams to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements/standards.
  • Strong planning, project financial reporting, and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Construction Safety Induction (white) card.
