Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead key projects: landfill upgrades, kerbside service improvements, and organics infrastructure development.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards through strategic planning and execution.
  • Engage the community through educational campaigns and awareness programs to promote sustainable practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver smart and efficient services that meet customer needs.
  • Monitor performance, generate compliance reports, and guide continuous improvement to achieve excellence.
  • Secure funding for new projects through grant opportunities and partnerships.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or Asset Management.
  • Proven experience leading waste-related projects from concept to completion with successful outcomes.
  • Technical expertise in landfill operations, organics processing, resource recovery, and municipal waste systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to build effective relationships.
  • Strategic problem-solving and passion for delivering sustainable outcomes that benefit the community.
  • A current driver's license for on-site project oversight and site visits.
