We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Professional to join our team in delivering vital community-based outreach and recovery-oriented support.

About the Role

This is a Full-Time Opportunity with a Max-Term Contract. You will work Monday to Sunday, Rotating Roster from 8:00am - 4:06pm. The location is Adamstown, with travel to surrounding areas.

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide tailored psychosocial support that empowers people in their recovery journey using a holistic, person-centred approach within the Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) program.

  • Deliver individual recovery-focused support using evidence-based, person-centred approaches.
  • Engage in capacity-building activities that promote recovery, resilience, and improved physical and mental health.
  • Develop and monitor individual support plans in collaboration with consumers, carers, and community organisations.
  • Balance community outreach with administrative tasks ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up.
  • Work across various settings including homes, community spaces, Hospitals to support consumers wherever their recovery journey takes them.
About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant experience in the mental health or community services sector with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for recovery-oriented practice.
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Mental health or Community Services or working towards this qualification.
  • Strong ability to engage with clients share your story and collaborate with team members.
  • Experience or a strong desire to learn about recovery-oriented approaches.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and comfortable working in a dynamic fast-paced environment seeing multiple consumers in one workday.
