Research Fellow, Water Resources Specialist

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative research team focused on transforming climate risk understanding and addressing in the Murray Darling Basin. As part of a leading research group, you'll work on innovative solutions that connect climate science with practical stakeholder needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting applied research and analysis on climate adaptation, environmental systems modelling, and participatory planning.
- Collaborating with program partners and team members to advance research outcomes and contribute to project management.
- Assisting in preparing manuscripts for publication and presenting research findings at relevant forums.
- Engaging in outreach activities and fostering external partnerships to strengthen collaborative efforts.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking motivated individuals who thrive in a collaborative research environment and are driven by the opportunity to address real-world climate adaptation challenges. You will bring enthusiasm for interdisciplinary work and a commitment to delivering impactful results.
You will also have:
- A PhD in hydrology, environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proven experience in numerical modelling or data analysis, and an understanding of climate variability, risk modelling, or climate adaptation frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working in multidisciplinary teams and producing high-quality publications.
