Emergency Department Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Department team at Friendly Society Private Hospital. As an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality emergency services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions, demonstrating expertise in clinical decision-making and hands-on care giving.
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patient health status and implement timely interventions to enhance outcomes.
- Identify deteriorating patients and escalate clinical intervention in a timely manner, seeking input from clinical peers and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Maintain effective communication and interpersonal skills to ensure seamless collaboration with the emergency department team and support quality patient care.
- Current registration with AHPRA and completion of an Adult Life Support Certificate.
- Demonstrated management of acute medical conditions, including cardiac and respiratory management, stroke, and sepsis.
- Proven experience in applying advanced adult and paediatric life support management and effective triage of patients.
- Relevant medical experience gained in an acute environment, showcasing knowledge and skills transferable to an emergency department role.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively, share information, and work collaboratively with the emergency department team.
