Electrical Field Service Technician Job

This role is ideal for individuals who are highly skilled in electrical maintenance and repair. The primary responsibility of the Field Service Technician will be to install, test, and commission electrical equipment at various mining sites across New South Wales.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of high-voltage electrical systems and be able to diagnose and rectify faults effectively. Additionally, they must possess excellent communication skills and be able to provide exceptional customer service to our clients.

As a member of our team, you will work independently and as part of a small team, traveling to various mine sites to complete tasks. You will also be required to maintain accurate records of your work and submit timely reports.

About the Role
  • Install and commission electrical equipment on mining sites
  • Perform onsite electrical auditing, testing, and breakdown assistance
  • Provide face-to-face support to clients
  • Work individually and in small teams
  • Prepare and submit quality service-related reports
Requirements
  • Safety-oriented mindset and experience working in hazardous environments
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems and fault diagnosis
  • Experience with underground coal longwall systems an advantage
  • Understanding of Ampcontrol products desirable
  • Good report writing skills and attention to detail essential
  • Able to make decisions and work with minimal supervision
