Electrical Maintenance Specialist Job Description

Our organisation is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join their team in a full-time permanent position. In this autonomous role, you will be responsible for inspecting electrical and mechanical systems, diagnosing and resolving issues in elevator and escalator control systems, wiring, and components.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced electricians who enjoy managing their own time and running their own jobs. If you have experience in a service-oriented position, particularly in elevator or escalator systems, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in elevator and escalator control systems, wiring, and components
  • Perform maintenance tasks, including repairs and installations
  • Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and installations
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry codes at all times
Requirements:
  • Valid Electrical Licence
  • Experience as a Service Electrician, preferably with background in elevator or escalator systems
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivation and capacity to work independently or collaboratively
  • Flexibility to work on-call and respond promptly to emergencies
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable transportation
