About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chapter Lead to join our Insurance Technology team at Suncorp Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of Full Stack Engineers and driving the development of our digital capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of Full Stack Engineers and provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Project Management: Work with Tribe Leads and Product Owners to oversee the allocation of team members to projects and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Recruitment and Development: Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the team, including career pathway development and performance management.
  • Performance Management: Oversee team performance, provide feedback, and develop team members to achieve departmental strategy, targets, goals, and budget.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 10+ years of technology experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of React, REST, and API design patterns and best practices.
  • Team Management: Proven track record in developing, coaching, and engaging technology professionals, with experience in managing distributed teams and partnerships.
