Leading Digital Transformation

This is a key role that will lead the success of our engineering teams within the Digital Platform. Reporting to the Head of Omni Platform, you will have a broad range of responsibilities.

  • Lead and mentor a team of software developers, championing best practice and consistent development outcomes addressing quality, testing, security, and documentation.
  • Identify new ways of working to improve technology delivery and development services, leading the ongoing development of existing applications and the design and delivery of new applications across the organisation.
  • Regularly assess system performance, conducting diagnostics, and implementing optimizations to ensure efficient operation and response times.
  • Work with the Architecture team on solutioning and long-term engineering strategy, designing for scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Set standards for code quality, security, and platform stability, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Work with stakeholders to align technical execution with business goals and client needs.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to drive the development of new features for our core platform.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and team management skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and commercial acumen.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in modern development workflows, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making.
  • Proven track record working cross-functionally to align technical execution with business outcomes.

Preferred qualifications include experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and retail, as well as a strong understanding of web performance optimisation techniques and headless architecture.
