  • Cultivate a culture of inclusivity and respect within the team, driving collaboration and excellence in Aboriginal research.
  • Ensure effective implementation of cultural governance frameworks, upholding the highest standards of research integrity.
  • Mentor and develop team members, nurturing their skills and expertise to drive success in Aboriginal child and family health research.
  • Represent the organization nationally and internationally as a leader in Aboriginal research, advocating for policy change and influencing decision-making.

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Proven experience in senior leadership and team management, with a track record of driving positive change.
  • Deep understanding of Aboriginal self-determination, cultural governance, and capacity building, with a passion for promoting Indigenous rights.
  • Strong knowledge of Aboriginal research methods, design, and translation, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • A collaborative leadership style, with excellent operational and financial management skills.
  • Experience in building strategic partnerships and influencing policy at a national and international level.
