Truck Service Advisor Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in light or heavy vehicles.

About the Role:

As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for scheduling customer service repair orders, obtaining clear briefs from customers regarding any issues, and monitoring the progress of services through the department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule customer service repair orders and obtain a clear brief from the customer regarding any issues.
  • Monitor the progress of services through the department.
  • Prepare invoices and close allocated repairs.
  • Maintain contact with customers throughout the day.
  • Quote customers on recommended repairs.
  • Order parts accordingly.
  • Ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Assist the Workshop Manager in resolving customer-related concerns.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in light or heavy vehicles.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Sound organizational skills and time management.
  • Ability to mentor and coach staff.
  • Capacity to neutralize conflict.
  • Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and positive customer experiences.
