Insurance Support Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Support Specialist to join our team. As an Assistant Underwriter, you will be responsible for handling underwriting tasks, renewals, quotes, and endorsements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Casualty portfolio team in underwriting tasks, including handling basic underwriting tasks, renewals, quotes, and endorsements;
- Create and maintain records electronically following established guidelines and processes;
- Collaborate with outsourced providers on queries and issues;
- Modify, update, and process changes in applicable tools, systems, and documents as needed;
- Analyse and assess Property submissions in respect of exposures and coverages;
- Prioritise new submissions quickly and optimally find opportunities in collaboration with the wider underwriting team.
About the Team:
The Business Services team is responsible for administration and operational tasks, as well as supporting Underwriters in terms of administration and some level of Underwriting assistance.
About You:
- Previous insurance experience ideally with exposure to underwriting;
- A strong team player with ability to demonstrate high levels of professionalism and integrity;
- Able to accurately and efficiently analyse data with a sound understanding of numbers;
- Solutions and results-oriented individual with an ability to multi-task;
- Strong service and client orientation;
- Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Studying/willing to study towards Diploma in General Insurance (ANZIIF) or similar qualification.
