Job Summary

The Renewable Energy Development Manager will lead and manage all renewable energy development activities to supply BP's hydrogen projects, as well as optimize solar, wind, BESS and hybrid solutions to deliver low-cost green energy into H2 and green metal/steel markets.

Key Responsibilities

* Originate, develop and optimize solar, wind, BESS and hybrid projects.
* Manage transmission solutions in SWIS and NWIS.
* Draw on Lightsource bp Engineering Centre of Excellence, EPC Delivery, Planning and other teams.
* Develop new business opportunities.
* Develop strong working relationships and liaise closely with other business divisions including engineering, planning, grid, energy markets, delivery, legal and finance to assist in the development of projects.

Requirements

* Excellent understanding of renewables industry, energy and environmental issues.
* Technical understanding of solar, wind and BESS development and construction.
* Understanding of environmental planning constraints.
* Consolidated experience in origination, development and optimization solar, wind, BESS and hybrid projects.
* Demonstrated experience understanding the commercial activities including financial models, funding arrangements and legals.
* Varied experience in private and public sector, showing adaptability and ability to learn quickly.
* Experience developing strong working relationships and liaising closely with other business divisions including engineering, planning, grid, energy markets, delivery, legal and finance to assist in the development of projects.
