Maternity Care Specialist

Western District Health Service is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maternity Care Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in providing woman-centred midwifery care, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes for consumers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care to women and their families in a modified caseload model of midwifery care.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic maternity care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with women, their families and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Registration as a midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Relevant midwifery experience and ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for consumers.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
