About this Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Senior Project Engineer to lead critical civil works on a landmark project. As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing excavation and formation works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the application of trial blasting, executing drainage works, constructing temporary access, and coordinating with subcontractors and stakeholders. You will also troubleshoot civil engineering challenges and maintain project momentum.

A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is essential, along with significant experience in civil construction for large-scale infrastructure projects. Strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of civil construction processes, and excellent organisational and communication skills are also required.

About the Project

This project involves the development of a state-of-the-art freight terminal, which will streamline the movement of goods across the nation and beyond. The terminal will feature the latest advancements in logistics technology and sustainable design principles.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage excavation and formation works to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
  • Oversee the application of trial blasting, focusing on safety and environmental sustainability
  • Execute drainage works in line with project requirements and environmental standards
  • Construct temporary access to ensure efficient site logistics
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of civil works
  • Troubleshoot civil engineering challenges to maintain project momentum
  • Perform site inspections and audits, ensuring conformity to technical specifications and best practices
  • Cultivate a team environment that encourages communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement
