Senior Audit and Risk Advisor

Position Overview:
The Senior Risk Consultant plays a pivotal role in client engagement and is responsible for mentoring junior team members within the division. This position entails overseeing Internal Audit, Controls Assurance, and Risk Management consulting while generating comprehensive documentation and reports for clients.

Core Responsibilities:
- Managing multiple internal audit, control assurance, and risk management consulting projects concurrently, collaborating with various team members for each audit, including planning, execution, and staff scheduling;
- Assisting in the formulation of client deliverables (e.g., strategic internal audit plans, scope documents);
- Executing fieldwork and documenting findings (i.e., maintaining the audit file);
- Identifying issues and assisting in the preparation of client reports;
- Supporting the firm’s business development initiatives;
- Coordinating with other departments;
- Addressing technical challenges and aiding in the development of technical position papers;
- Facilitating the growth of team members;
- Assisting in the management and coordination of the internal audit team, including training, mentoring, and ensuring adherence to methodologies.
Educational Qualifications:
Essential:
- Relevant tertiary degree and/or qualification.
Desirable:
- Relevant certification or professional membership.
Required Experience & Skills:
Essential:
- 2-3 years of professional practice experience;
- Excellent communication abilities;
- Meticulous attention to detail;
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively;
- Proficiency in utilizing resources to enhance engagement outcomes through effective self-management;
- Delivering exceptional service in response to client needs;
- Managing a client portfolio to ensure timely resolution of all client requirements;
- Knowledge and application of practice development techniques.
