The Opportunity

We're seeking an exceptional individual to join our Business Advisory Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing top-notch financial reporting services to our clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare compliance jobs to trial balance stage with precision and accuracy.
  • Identify franking account issues such as franking deficit tax and penalties, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Review client-prepared BAS/IAS and provide assistance with amendment/correction of system, guaranteeing seamless integration.
  • Resolve basic problems arising in client financial statements, demonstrating your analytical skills.
  • Prepare and analyze accounts, income tax returns, company annual returns, Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefit Tax returns, and notices of assessment, showcasing your expertise.
  • Identify business performance issues and key indicators, providing actionable insights to drive growth.

What You Need to Succeed

  • A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role or proven ability to deliver exceptional results.
  • In-depth understanding of fundamental accounting concepts, including accounting equation, debits, and credits, and financial statements.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook, to efficiently manage tasks and communicate with clients.
  • Familiarity with computerized accounting packages like IPS, APS, and MYOB, to streamline processes and improve productivity.
  • Demonstrated confidence and communication skills to train and mentor junior team members.
  • Basic understanding of tax laws, state taxes, and duties related to resident taxpayers, including CGT, GST, Land Tax, Payroll Tax, and general income tax.
