Creative Data Scientist - Growth Strategist

About the Role

We're looking for a senior data professional to join our fraud prevention team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying predictive models to prevent revenue leakage across monetization channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and deploying machine learning models to prevent revenue loss.
  • Collaborating with backend engineers, data analysts, and product managers to build and iterate on fraud prevention strategies.
  • Gaining a deep understanding of business operations and how to exploit them for growth.
  • Shaping our data strategy, using a strong product mindset.
  • Architecting, building, and maintaining systems that underpin fraud detection and response.
  • Mentoring and upskilling engineers and data professionals in the team.
  • Advocating for effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Ensuring ethical AI practices and user trust in our approaches.
Requirements
  • You've developed and deployed predictive models in production environments (preferably for fraud or anomaly detection use cases).
  • You're comfortable working across the ML lifecycle – from data analysis to model iteration.
  • You operate strategically—not just building what's asked, but shaping what should be built.
  • You're comfortable navigating ambiguous problem spaces with incomplete data and evolving priorities.
  • You have strong analytical skills and empathy for users.
  • You are a strong communicator who can align cross-functional teams.
  • You have hands-on experience building complex tools and flows at scale.
  • You enjoy thinking deeply about scenarios, edge cases, and user intent.
  • You understand scoring and recommendation systems and how to apply them.
  • You have a strong grasp of core CS fundamentals, system design, and architecture.
  • You are fluent in Python and familiar with tools like scikit-learn.
  • Experience in fintech is a plus.
