Business Process Analyst Role

This role is about mapping business processes and customer journeys to drive process and system improvements across the organization.

The core purpose of this position is to map business processes, gather data, analyze it and create clear and accurate business process maps to identify opportunities for improvement and support change delivery initiatives.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Information gathering, data analysis, and process mapping to identify opportunities for improvement and support change delivery initiatives.
  • Understanding business objectives and mapping business processes accordingly.
  • Creating process maps and documentation aligned with required standards and conventions.
  • Engaging stakeholders, facilitating workshops to gather and document processes.
  • Working with change delivery teams to embed changes into the organization.
  • Analyzing existing processes in comparison with improved or proposed processes to identify gaps and necessary changes.
  • Conducting change impact assessments to identify impacts on other processes, teams, or departments.
  • Providing process reviews and recommending updates to solve business problems and deliver business outcomes.
  • Assisting leaders to identify opportunities for improvement via data analysis and mapping to meet organizational strategy objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in business process analysis and modeling (BPMN), including As-Is/To-Be process mapping and data models.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or commensurate industry experience.
  • Understanding of the General Insurance industry preferred.
  • Formal Business Analysis qualification (e.g. International Diploma in Business Analysis, IIBA CBAP or Lean Six Sigma certification) preferred.
  • Professional attitude with a real passion for customer service.
  • Team-focused attitude, ability to learn new systems quickly, experience of working to deadlines in a change-driven environment, and autonomy while maintaining focus.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
