The Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing national conservation initiatives, supporting regional managers, and coordinating multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Support regional managers with project planning and reporting.
- Assist with operations planning and reports, ensuring timely information for stakeholders.
- Research and compile information for projects and general operations, including regulatory requirements and supplier sourcing.
- Manage strategic projects across the operations and science teams, including asset planning and management, capital forecasting, and fleet management.
- Oversee staff conducting business administration of organisational systems, including volunteer, asset, visitor bookings, task and project management, and form-building systems.
- Develop stakeholder relationships and manage contracts.

Critical Competencies

- Planning and organisational skills, including efficient task execution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, establishing relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Project Management experience, delivering projects from inception to completion.
- Contract Management, overseeing contractual requirements and coordinating with key departments and field-based project teams.
- Problem Solving, identifying innovative solutions with limited resources.
- Resourcefulness, developing practical solutions with limited resources.
- Information technology skills, using standard business software packages, including MS 365.
- A passion for conservation, or strong interest in conservation.
- Willingness to travel to remote locations as required.

Qualifications/Experience

- Formal qualifications are an advantage, but strong, practical experience in a project or contracting environment is more important.
- Proven experience in delivering 'on-ground' results.

Licenses/Certificates

- Valid manual driver's licence.
