Corporate Lawyer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled corporate lawyer to join our team as General Legal Counsel & Company Secretary. This dual-role position will guide our strategic direction, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and foster best-practice governance across the organisation.

  • Key responsibilities include advising on corporate structuring, M&A, governance, and compliance.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating shareholder agreements, board resolutions, capital raising documents, and internal policies.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Acting as Privacy Officer and managing personal information requests.
  • Leading negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts, supplier agreements, and procurement arrangements.
  • Providing legal input on major projects, tenders, joint ventures, and partnerships.
  • Overseeing IP strategy, including protection and commercialisation of patents, trademarks, and confidential information.
  • Liaising with external legal counsel as needed.
  • Fostering a culture of compliance, accountability, and innovation.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Laws and current Australian practising certificate, minimum 5 years' post-admission experience in corporate law, ideally within aerospace, defence, or advanced technology sectors. They will also possess strong background in commercial and intellectual property law, proven experience in company secretarial duties and corporate governance, exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, and strong negotiation skills.

This role requires adaptability to shifting priorities, resilience, and a 'can-do' attitude in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative, innovative, and dynamic team that values simplicity, effectiveness, and achievement of the impossible.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Laws and current Australian practising certificate.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
