The Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cybersecurity and Compliance Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Security and Risk Management team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engagements and projects while managing client relationships and staff. Your expertise in IT general controls, risk management, and cybersecurity will be essential in helping our clients navigate complex security landscapes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform IT and cybersecurity risk assessments, technical security reviews, and assess the effectiveness of processes and controls.
  • Execute and complete individual IT and cybersecurity audits and special project reviews relating to various applications, IT infrastructure, and other relevant IT domains.
  • Conduct independent risk-based IT and cybersecurity audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, the reliability and integrity of clients' business and IT systems.
  • Assist in the planning of client deliverables, including strategic internal audit plans and scope documents.
  • Responsible for the execution of fieldwork and documentation of findings.
  • Provide IT general controls and application controls audit support to external audit.
  • Determine the objectives, scope, and extent of each audit and ensure that the audit is professionally and efficiently completed within deadlines.
  • Assist in business development activities and coordinate with other divisions.

Education and Requirements:

  • Successful Criminal Record Screening Clearance.
  • Relevant tertiary degree and/or qualification is essential.
  • Relevant professional certification/qualification is essential, e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP); Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA); Certified Information Security Manager (CISM); Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC); etc.

Demonstrated Experience and Attributes:

  • Minimum 4-5 years' Professional Services experience in Cyber/IT technical delivery, IT audit, internal controls, or risk management.
  • Experience performing security risk assessments, testing, or auditing of cybersecurity or information security standards or governance frameworks.
  • Experience in performing engagements where teams are completing various technical testing assessments and translating technical findings and articulating recommendations for non-technical client staff.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of control best practices in IT general controls and applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT processes, project management, applications, databases, operating systems, and network infrastructure to apply better practice guidance and identify opportunities for improvement.
