Job Description: Executive Chef - Resort Hunter Valley

This is a leadership role that assists the Sous Chef in various tasks, including training and managing kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food standards and exceptional service.

  • Oversee food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen cleanliness.

The successful candidate will create menus, manage inventory, and resolve guest concerns while collaborating with the front-of-house team for seamless service delivery.

This role also involves providing mentorship and training to junior kitchen staff.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working in fast-paced kitchens, ideally in leadership roles such as Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef.
  • Trade cooking qualifications and knowledge of kitchen safety, hygiene, and cost management.
  • A passion for food and attention to detail, as well as the ability to train and motivate others.

This is a rotating roster position, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays (no split shifts), located in Australia.

Estimated annual salary: $80,000 - $100,000 AUD, based on location and experience.
