Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interior Design Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting our talented designers. Your focus will be on providing mentorship and coaching to ensure our clients receive exceptional service at the critical selection stage.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior design and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams. You will be responsible for implementing process changes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and service, as well as maintaining smooth workflow and customer processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to help designers achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and service.

Requirements

To succeed in this rewarding role, you will demonstrate:

  • A strong understanding of interior design principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • A proven ability to mentor and coach designers.
  • Strong account management skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant qualifications, including a Diploma in Design and Decoration, and/or other business and leadership tertiary qualifications.
  • Experience in the residential building industry.
  • Familiarity with residential floor plans, housing contracts, and electrical aspects of building a new home.
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization, multi-tasking, and delegation skills.
  • Resilience, perseverance, and ability to adapt to change.
  • Proven commitment to cross-functional collaboration.
