Workshop Supervisor Position

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Supervisor to lead our workshop team in Belmont, Western Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our team and contribute to the achievement of operational excellence in the workshop.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a large workshop team with a strong safety-first culture. They will provide expert guidance on diagnostics and equipment servicing to meet customer requirements, oversee branch asset maintenance, fleet management, and servicing schedules, drive productivity and performance across the workshop, build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders, actively plan equipment repairs, maintenance and service needs in line with customer demands, and contribute to the achievement of operational excellence in the workshop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a large workshop team
  • Provide expert guidance on diagnostics and equipment servicing
  • Oversee branch asset maintenance, fleet management, and servicing schedules
  • Drive productivity and performance across the workshop
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Actively plan equipment repairs, maintenance and service needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Mechanical trade qualification (e.g., Fitter Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic)
  • Proven experience in successfully managing a workshop environment
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and performance
  • Excellent planning, time management, and cost control abilities
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Effective troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance skills
