Job Role: Systems Architectural Specialist

As a key member of our operations team in Alice Springs, Australia, you will play a critical role in designing and maintaining computer systems at a secure client site. You will ensure optimal system performance, maintain data integrity, and provide technical support for network, hardware, and software infrastructure. Your expertise will help ensure mission success by keeping systems secure, compliant, and operational for end users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop system architecture for new and existing computer systems, ensuring alignment with security and compliance guidelines.
  • Maintain, configure, and ensure reliable operation of computer systems, troubleshooting moderately complex hardware and software issues.
  • Provide technical support for networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures, training end users on proper use.
  • Install and upgrade operating systems and software packages, monitoring and tuning systems for optimal performance.
  • Evaluate existing systems and assist in long-term planning strategies, conducting hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to less-experienced team members, ensuring systems meet performance and security requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in systems administration and systems architecture, with strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Ability to work independently in a secure, OCONUS environment, with knowledge of system monitoring, tuning, and performance optimization.
  • Experience conducting audits to ensure compliance with security and configuration guidelines, ability to train end users effectively.
  • Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 requirements and possess an active TS/SCI clearance with appropriate polygraph.
