Fire System Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire System Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the optimal functioning of our fire safety systems.

  • Maintain and repair fire systems, including alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and suppression systems.
  • Perform regular inspections and testing of fire systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Install new fire systems and equipment as needed, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Program and maintain Notifier systems, ensuring seamless communication between systems.
  • Collaborate with operational personnel to coordinate life safety system impairments, minimizing disruptions to business operations.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • NICET II or III – Fire Alarm Systems certification.
  • A strong understanding of the WSH Act and EHS policies.
  • Experience in facility maintenance or a similar technical environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical infrastructure and electronic equipment terminology.
  • Familiarity with facilities equipment and O&M requirements.
  • Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance techniques.

Key Requirements:

  • NICET I or II - Fire Special Hazards.
  • NICET I or II - Water Based Systems Inspection and Testing.
  • Experience with Notifier systems.
  • Trade qualification.
  • ERP experience (SAP, Archibus).
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and traversing maintenance environments, while maintaining medical fitness standards.
