Job Description",{p}As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy mining equipment. Your primary goal is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of these machines.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting regular work area inspections to identify hazards and defects.
  • Diagnosing faults and performing repairs on heavy mining equipment.
  • Executing planned maintenance tasks and estimating time/materials for jobs.
  • Undertaking repairs on light vehicle fleets where required and ensuring tools are in working order.
  • Managing costs responsibly to avoid rework and unnecessary expenses.
  • Reviewing tasks for improvement and maintaining open communication with supervisors.

  • A trade qualification in automotive mechanical technology or equivalent (Essential).
