About the Role

This is a senior individual contributor position that will play a critical role in enabling our most senior Strategy & Operations leaders to make informed decisions through data-driven insights. As an Analytics Lead, you will be responsible for leading high-impact analytics projects to support improved decision making for senior leaders across Strategy & Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop analytical models and perform deep dives to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Support executives and decision makers using data in a simple and effective way, with world-class storytelling and data visualization skills.
  • Build a deep knowledge across multiple data domains.
  • Deliver quantitative analysis to aid Xero-wide Strategy process.
  • Help drive the monitoring of OKRs for Xero and setting company-level operational KPIs.
  • Identify and monitor metrics for external communications (investors, media).
  • Create cross-portfolio (Strategy Finance-Revops) metrics and reporting.
  • Provide decision support for Pricing and Packaging decisions.
  • Manage the roadmap and backlog of work.
  • Advocate for the prioritization of your initiatives within our team & with external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 8+ years or more experience in analytics or SaaS, in a stakeholder-facing capacity or as a technical practitioner.
  • Proven ability to lead analytics projects from end-to-end.
  • Experienced at coaching team members to improve the communication, storytelling, and technical capability.
  • Experienced in delivering analytics in the form of interactive dashboards.
  • Experienced in applying advanced analytics techniques and statistical methodologies.
  • Experience across cloud data platforms, is highly desirable.
  • Leadership experience and exceptional professional maturity.
Competencies
  • Highly proficient in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Comfortable working with complex and diverse datasets.
  • Proficiency in Tableau and other modern BI tools.
  • Previous experience with statistical approaches to analysis.
  • Experience with statistical languages such as Python beneficial.
