Position Overview:

As a Desktop Motor Assessor, you will play a crucial role in evaluating third-party motor claims through desktop assessments, ensuring fair and just cost determinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review claims documentation and images to evaluate damage, assess loss severity, and obtain online quotes for claim settlements in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Draft assessments that align with organizational goals, business protocols, and the Code of Practice.
  • Authorize costs and replacements based on optimal value quotes while overseeing the quality of repair work.
  • Manage disputed recoveries and settlements through expert analysis.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to team members.
  • Assist colleagues in enhancing operational efficiencies and positively impacting business and customer results.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possession of a trade qualification in Panel Beating, Spray Painting, or Light Vehicle Mechanics.
  • Experience within the automotive industry.
  • Proficient in computer usage and quick to adapt to new systems or applications.
  • Understanding of conflict resolution methodologies.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A collaborative team player capable of building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and resolution capabilities.
