Leadership Opportunity for Bulk Equipment and Wash Operations

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team in a permanent full-time position at Sydney airport.

This role is responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the Bulk Equipment, Bulk Food & Wash, and Bar Packing sections of our facility.

The successful candidate will ensure accurate quantity of equipment and pack all flights according to the Galley Loading Plans (GLP) and Master Production Schedule (MPS).

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Daily management and support of both units.
  2. Demonstrate team management and leadership skills.
  3. Planning the day's operations with leading hands and manager.
  4. Ongoing daily review of operational needs.
  5. Work with the team to forecast resource requirements.
  6. Support the team in developing a multi-specialist team and identifying training needs.
  7. Ensure all flights are packed accurately according to the galley loading plan.
  8. Set and monitor KPIs for each section leading hand.
  9. Adhere to company policies.
  10. Support the unit logistics officer in stock take and filing documents.

Requirements:

  1. Good understanding of busy manufacturing processes.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills.
  4. Demonstrates strong organizational/time management skills.
  5. Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
  6. Experience with management labor targets is desired.
  7. Sound knowledge of the airline catering industry is highly regarded.
  8. Competent in documentation and records management.
