Terminal Operator Position Description

At our Osborne Terminal, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Terminal Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of our bulk cement products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating plant equipment, including front-end loaders, to achieve maximum throughput and quality targets. You will also be required to perform site maintenance activities, supervise contract maintenance providers, and undertake daily stock control of receivable cement products and dispatch products.

In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring shipments, performing basic root cause analysis of equipment failure, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. If you have experience in terminal operations and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in terminal operations
  • Ability to operate front-end loaders and other plant equipment
  • Manual car license
  • Trade qualification in electrical or mechanical field (highly regarded)
  • Forklift license
  • First aid certificate (desirable)
  • Basic computer skills, ideally SAP, Microsoft Excel, Lotus Notes, TIS
