Support Care Specialist Role
This role offers the opportunity to make a positive difference in someone's life. The position involves supporting a young gentleman with cerebral palsy, assisting him with his care, independence, and day-to-day support within his own home.
The ideal candidate will be compassionate, client-focused, and enthusiastic about making a positive impact. They will work closely with a supportive and experienced care team to ensure the client receives the best possible care.
The client is a 20-year-old gentleman who enjoys engaging conversation, social outings, and being part of the community. He uses a wheelchair in the community but can manage short distances with support and a walking aid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the client with his care, independence, and day-to-day support within his own home.
- Work closely with a supportive and experienced care team to ensure the client receives the best possible care.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to the client.
- Assist the client with his personal care needs.
- Help the client engage in activities he enjoys.
Requirements:
- Caring and compassionate nature.
- Ability to deal with sensitive personal care tasks.
- Fully qualified in relevant field (e.g., nursing, healthcare assistant).
- DBS clearance at enhanced level.
- Able to provide references.
