Job Opportunity

The Enterprise Data Governance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring data quality and integrity across the organization. Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to establish common data standards, classifying and cataloguing data in enterprise tools, and coordinating data issue capture and tracking.

  • Support business stakeholders in defining data standards, definitions, and quality requirements
  • Ensure data is properly classified, catalogued, and managed in enterprise systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve objectives while adhering to data governance standards
  • Capture and track data issues, including engaging stakeholders and ad hoc data profiling/reporting
  • Assist with administering data forums, ensuring agendas, data quality dashboards, issues, and relevant material are gathered/distributed
  • Identify risks and issues, quantifying impacts/value where possible
  • Support development/maintenance of data as an asset, classifying/organizing it for fast/discovery access
  • Ensure accuracy/accessibility of information to users
  • Maintain/update Data Catalogue/Business Glossary based on agreed priorities
  • Improve data management standard compliance

About You

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Governance Specialist with 5+ years' experience in a data role, including data analysis, reporting, analytics, and/or business intelligence. Desired skills include:

  • Experience in managing data lifecycle processes/data value chains
  • Understanding of Data Management maturity models and different data management practices/disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to influence/solve complex problems
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive/resilient to stakeholder engagement challenges
