**Commercial Law Specialist Opportunity**

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commercial Law Specialist to join our commercial law team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to our success and grow with us.

As a Commercial Law Specialist, you will assist lawyers with commercial transactions, including buying and selling businesses, business structures, advising on directors and shareholders issues, corporate restructures, joint ventures, licensing and distribution, intellectual property, franchising, employment law, consumer and trade practices law, and trusts.

You will also support lawyers with commercial litigation, including debt recovery, insolvency and bankruptcy, general commercial contractual disputes, and construction disputes. Your responsibilities will include interacting with clients, solicitors, barristers, and other external stakeholders, undertaking legal research, preparing letters and court documents, preparing briefs to barristers, diary management, making appointments, and filing administration.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of commercial law and litigation, excellent communication and time prioritization skills, and a high work ethic. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and meeting deadlines.

**Requirements:**

  • A law student not due to be admitted as a lawyer for at least 1-1.5 years or a career paralegal.
  • 6-12 months experience in commercial law and litigation.
  • Ability to work full-time or minimum 4 days/week.
  • High work ethic, deadline-oriented, proactive, excellent communication, time prioritization, and customer service skills.
