Job Title: Childcare | ECT Preschool Room Leader

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Educator to lead a team of Educators in a dynamic and creative environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding, supporting, and supervising staff, students, and volunteers in the room. They will also develop the Children's Program, ensuring it reflects the Early Years Learning Framework guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Children's Program, ensuring it meets the Early Years Learning Framework guidelines.
  • Guide and support staff, students, and volunteers in the room, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Liaise with families regarding day-to-day happenings and maintain accurate records of individual children's progress.
  • Ensure a safe environment is maintained for staff and children, with particular attention to children with anaphylaxis, allergies, asthma, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor in Early Childhood Teaching (or ACECQA equivalent).
  • Experience working as a Room Leader in an early childhood setting.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including the National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of family communications.
  • Strong understanding of the Montessori Philosophy.
  • Well-versed with Montessori learning materials, the curriculum areas, and progression.
  • Passionate about implementing Montessori early learning programs.
  • Commitment to the holistic development of their class.
