Job Title

A seasoned Store Development Manager is sought after to spearhead the development of retail stores across Australia and New Zealand.

  • This role involves driving high-impact projects from inception to completion, ensuring each store meets brand standards and is delivered on time.
  • The ideal candidate will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless execution.
About The Role
  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycle: new openings, refits, relocations, and expansions.
  • Collaborate with various teams for effective coordination.
Responsibilities
  • Drive feasibility studies, zoning approvals, and site surveys.
  • Coordinate contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure timely milestones.
  • Perform site visits to guarantee construction quality, safety, and brand integrity.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and reporting, keeping stakeholders informed throughout the process.
  • Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and compliance documents are up to date and in place.
  • Support store teams in preparation for high-impact store launches.
  • Oversee the project tender process.
Requirements
  • A degree in Project Management, Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in retail store development, construction, or project management.
  • Exceptional skills in scheduling, budgeting, and managing multi-site projects.
  • A deep understanding of retail design, construction methodology, and local permitting processes.
  • Proficiency in project tools like MS Project, AutoCAD, and construction management software.
  • The ability to lead cross-functional teams and thrive under pressure.
  • Flexibility to travel across regions to oversee store launches and project milestones.
  • Experience in LEED or sustainable building practices.
  • Background in multi-site retail rollout programs.
