Job Description

As a dedicated professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all staff members and adhering to strict occupational health and safety standards.

You will conduct regular inspections of equipment, materials, and machinery to guarantee they are in working order. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of any incidents or near-misses, as well as implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

In this role, you will work closely with our team to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to mitigate risks. You will also provide training and support to staff members on occupational health and safety practices and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily safety and maintenance inspections to ensure equipment, materials & machinery are in working order
  • Maintain high standard of Workplace health and Safety guidelines and practices
  • Implement daily cleaning schedule to ensure safety of all machinery
  • Inspect completed work for compliance to specifications and safety standards
  • Ensure high level of OH&S is maintained to prevent accidents
  • Train staff on OH&S issues and practices to avoid safety incidents
  • Investigate incidents of non-compliance with occupational health & safety
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety (e.g., Diploma in WHS)
  • At least three years of experience in a similar safety inspector role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively within a team and organisation
  • Demonstrated computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong customer service focus
