About the Role
We are seeking a talented Junior Electronics Engineer to join our team as a Product Development Specialist. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and developing electronic products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop electronic products, including relevant drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials.
  2. Validate designs through prototyping, testing, and recording results.
  3. Estimate and define validation steps within the validation function of the project.
  4. Ensure project milestones are met and that product designs comply with relevant standards and approval requirements.
  5. Monitor and control life test experiments over the life of the product.
  6. Provide design engineering support to reduce production costs and improve reliability, quality, and performance.
  7. Establish testing methods and test platforms to carry out testing accordingly.
  8. Ensure that test platforms, instruments, and equipment are available to enable laboratory testing.
  9. Carry out comparative testing on competitor's products.
  10. Prepare reports and provide recommendations for actions according to time schedules and constraints of each project.


Requirements
  1. Clear communication and ability to report to a committee on testing performed.
  2. An ability to convey and discuss concepts and issues detected or predicted.
  3. Persuade team members of your opinion, but also be able to take direction when you do not agree.
  4. Work in a group as part of a project test, report into the project team on a weekly basis.
  5. Take direction from manager and senior team members.
  6. Ensure duties are performed in a safe manner.
  7. You will be responsible for personal compliance with all company policies and procedures to control OHS, environmental, and other risks and to ensure compliance with business and legal requirements.
  8. Actively participating in the implementation of policies, procedures, and other elements of Quality, OHS, and Environmental Management Systems.


Additional Requirements
  1. Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
  2. At least 1 to 2 years in the testing of electronic devices or design of appliances or related equipment.
  3. Experience in solid modelling, SAP, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project would be beneficial.
  4. Excellent, clear, concise communication skills are imperative.
  5. Experience in writing work instructions.
  6. Experience with the use of mechanical equipment to make test jigs.
  7. Experience with electrical/electronic design.
  8. Experience with Inventor CAD design package (or equivalent).
  9. Proven experience working with Australian Standards as a regulatory framework.
