Job Summary

Advanced Navigation is seeking a skilled Electronics Assembly Specialist to join our manufacturing team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the electro-mechanical assembly and testing of complex electronic products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform testing conformity of incoming parts, including electronic components and hardware, in accordance with quality standards and target times.
  • Assemble sub-assemblies and final products using jigs and fixtures, adhesives, moulding, and soldering, meeting quality standards and target times.
  • Undertake calibration and testing of sub-assemblies and final products, adhering to assembly instructions and quality standards.
  • Participate in supervised rework and record assembly data and test data in work instructions.
  • Manage allocated builds through the company's ERP system and monitor QMS to ensure test results are available.
  • Follow company quarantine processes and maintain a high standard of attention to detail, time management, and follow-through.
Requirements
  • Experience in electronic hardware and test equipment.
  • Soldering skills (IPC-610 not essential).
  • A focus on high quality, precision, and attention to detail, with a willingness to learn products in a specialist industry.
  • General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and processing software.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS practices and excellent housekeeping.
  • Proven high standard of attention to detail, time management, and follow-through.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Exposure and operating within a quality management system (including ISO9001).
  • Knowledge of six sigma/5 S work practices would be highly regarded.
