About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Fellow to join our dynamic team at Edith Cowan University's Nutrition & Health Innovation Research Institute. This position offers a unique opportunity to take a leading role in the development and management of a range of ongoing research projects within the food and nutrition field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a range of research projects in the food and nutrition field, ensuring project governance mechanisms are in place for all projects.
  • Conduct comprehensive qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and write grant applications to secure funding for research initiatives.
  • Author high-impact scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals, and develop policy briefs based on research findings to influence public health policy.
  • Supervise project staff and HDR students, and engage with the media to disseminate research findings and raise public awareness.
  • Drive, build, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships across various sectors to advance research objectives.
Requirements
  • PhD in Nutrition, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in food and nutrition research, particularly in areas related to food environments and their impact on health.
  • Excellent writing skills with a strong track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals and securing research funding.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and with external partners.
  • Commitment to creating equitable and health-promoting food environments.
Benefits and Remuneration

This full-time, fixed-term position attracts remuneration of $134,035 to $154,013 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
