Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Response Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in protecting and serving the community by responding to fires and other emergencies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Responding to emergency situations, including fires and rescues, as part of a fire crew.
  • Operating emergency vehicles and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Providing first aid and maintaining operational readiness.

In addition to these key responsibilities, the successful candidate will also enhance community safety through fire prevention and education activities, maintain competencies through training and self-development, and comply with QFD medical and fitness standards.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A valid Blue Card from Blue Card Services.
  • A manual medium rigid (MR) driver's licence recognized by the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
  • A current Apply First Aid Certificate.
  • A current Advanced Resuscitation Certificate.
  • Compliance with QFD medical and fitness standards.
  • A criminal history check.
  • A clinical psychometric assessment.
